This is a lovely, smooth Banana Fibre Tops / Banana Fibre Roving which is available in 50g quantities. I am sure that the banana fibre will surprise you! First of all it’s 100% vegan, natural, biodegradable and renewable. Also, not only are these tops eco-friendly but they are beautiful too as a result of it being pure white in colour, very soft to the touch and with luminous appearance. In fact, it is increasingly being regarded as a valid alternative to silk. And that’s not all because in addition to it being highly resistant it also has the capacity to absorb and remove moisture from the wearer's skin. In summary, there are many good reasons to make use of it for your projects. All that’s left to do is to try it and you’ll surely fall in love with it.

The roving/tops are combed sliver from fibres obtained from the banana plant. They are sold in one continuous length which are approximately 2 meters long and 1cm to 2cm wide. PLEASE NOTE: This item is sold by weight and not length.

Our Banana Fibre tops are perfect for both needle and wet felting, spinning and hand weaving.

All items are wrapped using tissue paper or kraft paper. Orders are packed inside compostable satchels and I only use compostable masking tape.
