Our Wild Growing Himalayan Stinging Nettle Tops comes from Nepal and is carefully selected to ensure long-lasting quality. This plant is handpicked by the locals consequently creating jobs in deprived areas of the world with the utmost respect for the environment as it doesn’t involve the destruction of nearby plants.
Our wild giant Himalayan stinging nettle tops are perfect for both needle and wet felting, spinning and hand weaving.
The roving/tops are combed sliver from fibres obtained from the Wild Growing Himalayan Stinging Nettle plant. They are sold in one continuous length which are approximately 2.5 meters long and 1.5cm to 2.5cm wide. PLEASE NOTE: This item is sold by weight and not length.
All items are wrapped using tissue paper or kraft paper. Orders are packed inside compostable satchels and I only use compostable masking tape.

I take on a limited amount of custom orders now days. Contact me with you ideas Of how you’d like to adapt one of my creations as I can recreate them in different sizes and colours and I just love everyone’s ideas. Please note I will not recreate the work of other fibre artists as it is a breach of Intellectual Property Laws, Etsy’s Policies and again my personal morals. Please do not ask as refusal may offend.
Sizing details
I can often adapt a pattern or use different sized cotton to recreate wall hangings to your measurements. Message me and we can have a chat about your ideas!
Gift wrapping and packaging
Gift wrapping includes my usual packaging of brown paper, tied with cotton cord and my flyer and business card. It also includes a beautiful printed card in an envelope, where I can write your personal message.
