Lyocell is a lovely, vegan alternative to silk tops which is available in 50g quantities.

Not only is the Lyocell fibre gorgeous, it’s also considered the most eco-friendly fibre in the world to date. As a matter of fact, it’s produced from Eucalyptus wood which makes it 100% biodegradable. What’s more, its production process (closed cycle) allows 99% of the solvents to be reused, uses less energy and also less water. Like all this wasn’t enough, this fibre is really nice and effective: it’s resistant, pleasant to the touch and also bright and breathable. All you have to do now is try it!

Our Lyocell tops are perfect for felting, both needle and wet, spinning and hand weaving.

The roving/tops are combed sliver from fibres obtained from Eucalyptus trees. They are sold in one continuous length which are approximately 3.5 meters long and 1cm to 2cm wide. PLEASE NOTE: This item is sold by weight and not length.

All items are wrapped using tissue paper or kraft paper. Orders are packed inside compostable satchels and I only use compostable masking tape.
